Together with our partners, we provide healthy solutions to end hunger in our community.

All Faiths Food Bank is the only food bank and largest hunger relief organization in Sarasota and DeSoto counties. The Food Bank was founded in 1989 by a group of individuals who, through their respective organizations, were feeding the hungry. They combined efforts to incorporate as All Faiths Food Bank, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All Faiths has been a Certified Member of the Feeding America network since 1990.

Rated 4-stars by Charity Navigator, we provide millions of meals each year through robust programs and partnerships with hundreds of charitable organizations throughout the community. In addition to food distribution, All Faiths operates a roster of innovative direct service programs that not only solve the immediate problem of hunger but also strive to end hunger by helping families and individuals to gain long-term food security, enjoy better health outcomes, and achieve self-sufficiency.

Our work is evidence-based and data driven. We focus on outcomes and impact, and our work is measurable. Our priority is to serve the neediest and most vulnerable first: children, seniors, veterans and those in crisis. We are determined to create – and continue to strengthen – a food system that is healthy, efficient, sustainable, and responsive to our neighbors who are struggling.

Whoever might be in need – a family facing financial crisis due to an economic downturn, an older adult having a hard time making ends meet on a fixed income, a veteran experiencing challenges after years of brave service, or a child without access to free or reduced-cost meals because school is not in session – our top priority is to feed the hungry. But our dream is to end the scourge of hunger, forever – we hope you will join us in the fight!

Our Approach

Our work is evidence-based and data driven. We focus on outcomes and impact, and our work will be measurable.

Our Priority

Is to serve the most needy and most vulnerable first: children, seniors, veterans and those in crisis.

Nonpartisanship

For more than 30 years, All Faiths Food Bank has taken great pride in our operation as a nonpartisan organization. Our commitment to nonpartisanship has allowed us to work closely with federal, state, and local officials to fight hunger, regardless of political affiliation, as well as donors with widely divergent views.

We believe that ending hunger requires a commitment from elected and community leaders, philanthropists and employees of all party affiliations, backgrounds, and geographies. Hunger has never been a partisan issue, which means ending hunger is up to all of us.

In addition to our commitment to nonpartisanship, our food bank is designated as a 501(c)(3) organization, meaning we do not directly or indirectly participate in any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for elective public office. While we may advocate for certain policies and programs related to hunger relief, we offer no endorsements of candidates for elected office and, similarly, will not speak out against any candidate, either.

We remain as committed to our advocacy work as ever and are here to ensure everyone in our community has access to the nutritious food they need every day.
