Training and Education

Disaster Preparedness Training

Do you know what role AFFB plays and what your role and responsibilities are in the event of a local disaster? This training is designed to educate agencies on how to prepare your family and your organization for a possible disaster. We will provide tools that can be shared with your staff, volunteers, and even clients to help minimize potential impact.

This training is highly recommended, particularly if:

  • Your organization does not have a current Continuity of Operations Plan
  • Your agency has been designated as an Active Disaster Relief Partner or your organization is interested in becoming a designated Active Disaster Relief Partner

  • Roles & Responsibilities – What is expected of AFFB and your organization during a disaster?
  • Individual Preparedness – What steps do you need to take to prepare your home and family?
  • Employee & Client Well-being – How to communicate and deal with employees and clients pre- and post-event?
  • Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) – Does your organization have a plan?
