Disaster Preparedness Training

Do you know what role AFFB plays and what your role and responsibilities are in the event of a local disaster? This training is designed to educate agencies on how to prepare your family and your organization for a possible disaster. We will provide tools that can be shared with your staff, volunteers, and even clients to help minimize potential impact.

This training is highly recommended, particularly if:

  • Your organization does not have a current Continuity of Operations Plan
  • Your agency has been designated as an Active Disaster Relief Partner or your organization is interested in becoming a designated Active Disaster Relief Partner

  • Employee & Client Well-being – How to communicate and deal with employees and clients pre- and post-event?

Agency Orientation Training

This orientation is designed to inform and educate agency and potential agency representatives on Food Bank services, policies, procedures and regulations associated with partner agency membership.

Orientation attendance is mandatory for all new members and new staff and/or volunteers associated with current members who are authorized to access Food Bank inventory and/or services on behalf of their agency.

  • Introduction to All Faiths Food Bank and Feeding America (The Nation’s Food Bank Network)
  • Membership regulations and record keeping
  • Review of the inventory list and ordering procedures
  • Warehouse tour (closed toe shoes required in warehouse)

USDA Civil Rights Training 

The purpose of this Civil Rights training is to establish and convey policy and provide guidance and direction to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) and its recipients and customers, and ensure compliance with and enforcement of the prohibition against discrimination in TEFAP, all FNS nutrition programs and activities, whether federally funded in whole or not.

**Attendance is mandatory for all TEFAP distribution sites.
